Flexus 100/200 - Adding a Wired/Second Subwoofer
The Flexus 100/200 sound bar features a "Sub Out" jack on the back of the unit that will allow you to wire an additional powered subwoofer of your choosing. You can use this wired subwoofer in replacement of, or in addition to, the wireless subwoofer that the system comes packaged with.
- You can also use this "Sub Out" jack to connect the included Flexus Sub 100 or Sub 200.
TO CONNECT AN ADDITIONAL POWERED SUBWOOFER:
- Use a single RCA cable (or standard subwoofer cable) to connect the additional subwoofer to the sound bar
- Note: As a reference example, here is a link to a Monoprice subwoofer cable that would work for this application - Monoprice 10ft Subwoofer Cable
- Plug in one end of the cable into the "SUB OUT" jack on the back of the sound bar
- Plug the other end into the RCA Line In or LFE jack on the back of the powered subwoofer that you have chosen
- Note: If your subwoofer has two RCA inputs, you will only need to plug into one (either red or white), not both. For more information, please see our article - Is a "Y" Splitter Needed to Hook Up My Subwoofer?
- Subwoofer Output on Flexus bars has a 90Hz Low pass filter applied. Set your subwoofer to LFE and will be crossed over correctly.
