IMPORTANT: Use a flash drive that doesn’t store any important information. This process will wipe the contents of the drive.
Upgrade Steps
- Format your USB-C flash drive to FAT32 file format (instructions for this are above).
- Download the following .ZIP link (which contains the .mva update file): 1073451_PM21L_HW1_ALL_V1.0.3.zip
- Unzip the .ZIP folder. Locate the "1073451_PM21L_HW1_ALL_V1.0.3.mva" file inside of the .ZIP folder, then extract the file to the formatted flash drive.
- Eject the flash drive from your machine. Macs require you to drag to the Trash or click the eject icon in Finder. In Windows, you right-click the flash drive and select Eject.
- Power on your ProMedia Lumina 2.1 Speakers.
- Plug the flash drive into your ProMedia Lumina 2.1 speakers' USB port (located on the back of the subwoofer).
- Hold down the Utility button on the back of the right satellite speaker until the status LED on the front of the right satellite speaker turns orange. Once the LED turns orange, release the Utility button.
- Then--at the same time--press and hold down the Vol Down and Vol Up (left and right) buttons on top of the right satellite speaker for 5 seconds. Then let the buttons go. This places the speakers in USB update mode.
- Give at least 5 minutes for the update to complete (if speakers reboot sooner than this--you can proceed to step 11).
- Once the update has completed, the speakers will reboot (turn off then back on). Keep an eye on the status LED of the right speaker for this indication.
- Once the speakers reboot, remove the flash drive from the speakers.
