Bar 48 - Firmware V30/V83a Update Instructions
Firmware Installation
- Download the latest firmware update file by going to klipsch.com/firmware and choosing Bar 48 from the "AVAILABLE FIRMWARE UPDATES" drop-down menu
- Enter in your soundbar's serial number (found on the back of the soundbar or subwoofer)
- Download and save the file folder to your desktop
- Unzip the file folder and move the “app.bin” file to an empty USB flash drive that is formatted to FAT32 and is 8GB or less in size
- Power on the sound bar with a short press of the power button on the sound bar
- Ensure your wireless subwoofer is paired to the sound bar (LED on back of subwoofer will be solid)

- If you have Surround 3 wireless surrounds, ensure they are paired to the sound bar (LED on back of each surround will be solid)

- Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port on the back of the sound bar
- Hold down the power button on the top of the sound bar until the source LED on the top and front of the sound bar shuts off
- Wait about 3 seconds until the DTS LED lights up
- The DTS > DOLBY > ((SUR)) > DIALOG > NIGHT LED’s will light up as the firmware update progresses
- Once all of the mode LED’s are lit, wait about 3 seconds and the sound bar will restart
- Once the sound bar restarts, the source LED on the top and front of the sound bar will be orange You should also see 3 white volume LED’s on the front of the sound bar to indicate the update is complete
- Unplug the USB flash drive from the back of the sound bar
- The firmware update has been completed successfully
- The subwoofer (and surrounds if applicable) will reconnect after the sound bar restarts
