Bar 48 - Firmware V30/V83a Update Instructions
There are two versions of the Firmware available please make sure to select the correct one based on the serial number of you bar.

Bar 48 BT v83a - Change Log:
- Improved subwoofer connection
- Increased Surround Output when Rear Surrounds are present.
- When volume is set to minimum, sub volume now mutes.
- Content continues playing after Bluetooth connection is made from device to soundbar.
- BT switches input when coming from other audio input after BT connection is made from device to soundbar.
- Sub Volume Increase/Decrease LED indication improved on bar
- Can power off soundbar when HDMI content playing with button on soundbar or remote.

INSTALLATION
- Download the latest firmware update file from this article - Bar48_BT_v83a_20191129.zip
- Unzip the file folder and move the “app.bin” file to an empty USB flash drive that is formatted to FAT32 and is 8GB or less in size
- Power on the sound bar with a short press of the power button on the sound bar
- Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port on the back of the sound bar
- Hold down the power button on the top of the sound bar until the source LED on the top and front of the sound bar shuts off
- Wait about 3 seconds until the DTS LED lights up
- The DTS > DOLBY > ((SUR)) > DIALOG > NIGHT LED’s will light up as the firmware update progresses
- Once all of the mode LED’s are lit, wait about 3 seconds and the sound bar will restart
- Once the sound bar restarts, the source LED on the top and front of the sound bar will be orange You should also see 3 white volume LED’s on the front of the sound bar to indicate the update is complete
- Unplug the USB flash drive from the back of the sound bar
- The firmware update has been completed successfully
- The subwoofer will reconnect after the sound bar restarts.

Bar 48 2.4GHz v30 - Change Log:
- Enhanced volume output from surrounds
- Removed noise from surrounds in certain use cases.
- Addressed issue with Bluetooth playback
- Corrected issue where previous Bluetooth device wouldn't auto connect
- Misc noise issues on various input switches.
INSTALLATION
- Download the latest firmware update file from this article - Bar48_2.4_V30.zip
- Unzip the file folder and move the “app.bin” file to an empty USB flash drive that is formatted to FAT32 and is 8GB or less in size
- Power on the sound bar with a short press of the power button on the sound bar
- Ensure your wireless subwoofer is paired to the sound bar (LED on back of subwoofer will be solid). For re-pairing instructions, consult the Klipsch Bar 48 Owner's Manual.
- If you have Surround 3 wireless surrounds, ensure they are paired to the sound bar (LED on back of each surround will be solid). For re-pairing instructions, consult the Klipsch Surround 3 owner's manual.
- Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port on the back of the sound bar
- Hold down the power button on the top of the sound bar until the source LED on the top and front of the sound bar shuts off
- Wait about 3 seconds until the DTS LED lights up
