Cinema 1200 - Connecting External Audio via Analog
Below, you will find additional information and steps on how to play external audio sources (consoles, players, PC's/laptops etc.) on the sound bar via the analog source.
Please note that any external sources connected in this way will need to have a headphone/3.5mm or Phono/RCA output. If the external source does not feature a headphone/3.5mm or Phono/RCA output, it will not be able to utilize this connection method.
Connecting External Audio with an RCA to 3.5mm Cable (highlighted above):
- For this connection method, you will need an RCA to 3.5mm cable (not included)
- Note: As an example reference, here is an RCA to 3.5mm cable that would work for this connection method - Amazon Basics 3.5mm to 2-Male RCA Adapter Audio Stereo Cable - 4 Feet
- Plug the end of the cable featuring the two RCA jacks into the two RCA outputs of your turntable, player etc. that you are wanting to connect
- The other end of the cable featuring the single 3.5mm (headphone) jack will plug into the 'ANALOG IN' jack on the back of the sound bar
- Once both ends of the cable have been connected, use the sound bar's remote control and press the 'ANALOG' button to change the bar to the analog source
- Note: You also may use the source select button on top of the sound bar to cycle through the different sources until you reach the analog source.
- Once on the analog source, the bar's front LED screen will display 'ANLG'
Connecting External Audio with an Auxiliary/3.5mm to 3.5mm Cable (highlighted above):
- For this connection method, you will need a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable, also known as an 'Auxiliary' cable (not included).
- Note: As an example reference, here is a 3.5mm to 3.5mm (aux) cable that would work for this connection method - Syncwire 3.5mm Nylon Braided Aux Cable
- Plug one end of the auxiliary cable (does not matter which, both ends are identical) into the external source's headphone jack or 3.5mm analog output
- The other end of the cable will plug into the 'ANALOG IN' jack on the back of the sound bar
