Cinema 1200 - Adding a Wired/Second Subwoofer

The Cinema 1200 features a "Sub Out" jack on the back of the sound bar that will allow you to wire an additional powered subwoofer of your choosing. You can use this wired subwoofer in replacement of, or in addition to, the wireless subwoofer that the system comes packaged with.

TO CONNECT AN ADDITIONAL POWERED SUBWOOFER:

1. Use a single RCA cable (or standard subwoofer cable) to connect the additional subwoofer to the sound bar

2. Plug in one end of the cable into the "SUB OUT" jack on the back of the sound bar
3. Plug the other end into the RCA Line In or LFE jack on the back of the powered subwoofer that you have chosen

CAN I BUY ANOTHER CINEMA 1200 SUBWOOFER AND USE THEM BOTH AT THE SAME TIME?

No, you cannot pair more than one wireless subwoofer directly to the Cinema 1200. The wireless subwoofer that comes with the system is the only one that will natively pair with the sound bar over the built-in 2.4GHz connection. However, you can use a powered subwoofer that comes with a wireless transmitter that you can plug into the Sub Out on the back of the sound bar.

So, for instance, you could potentially achieve using two wireless subwoofers by using the sub that comes with the Cinema 1200 system, and then using an additional subwoofer that comes with a wireless transmitter. Subwoofers like the R-80SWi, R-10SWi, or the R-12SWi would be examples of a subwoofer that comes with a wireless transmitter. Plug the transmitter into the "SUB OUT" on the back of the sound bar and then pair the subwoofer to the transmitter using the instructions included with the subwoofer.
