Subwoofers - what to do to extend the life of your powered subwoofer.
To ensure the longevity of your powered subwoofer and it's internal components, please utilize the following suggestions:
Connect the sub to a dedicated power outlet
- Please try to avoid using power conditioners/surge protectors and congested circuits.
Allow space between the sub amplifier and the wall for proper ventilation.
Avoid overdriving the subwoofer - set the level of audio coming into the sub below the threshold of distortion.
- We recommend leaving a good amount of headroom - operate the subwoofer @75% of the max level or below.
- If you have to turn up the sub and the source all the way up in order to achieve desired volume, you may need to position the subwoofer better in the room or you may need a bigger more powerful subwoofer.
