RSB Sound Bar Has No Sound When Connected via HDMI (Troubleshooting)
The RSB Series sound bars feature a CEC functionality that can be manually enabled/disabled. If you are connecting the RSB sound bar to a TV via HDMI, you will need to make sure that this CEC function is enabled on the bar. If the CEC is not enabled, the sound bar will likely not output any audio at all. You may also notice the "TV" source light on the front display of the bar blinking and then disappearing.
- Plug in and power on the sound bar
- To enable the CEC, press and simultaneously hold the source and volume down buttons on the front of the sound bar for 3 seconds
- To indicate that the CEC is enabled, the source on the front display of the bar will blink twice
- To indicate that the CEC is disabled, the source on the front display of the bar will blink three times
