Klipsch Control (PC) - How to Gather Firmware and/or Update Product Firmware

You can now gather and provide the firmware version of your Control app compatible product directly to Klipsch Product Support through information gathered in the Klipsch Control App. This information includes: the model of product you have, the serial number, the firmware versions, and the MAC address -- so our support agents can better assist you. This ensures the Product Support agent you are working with has the current information and status of your product.   It is also possible to update the firmware of your product within the app (information below).

First, you will need to download the Klipsch Control app:  Klipsch Control - Getting Started With the App (Download and Installation)

Once Klipsch Control is downloaded and updated, follow the instructions within the app to set up your product if you have not already. After your product has been set up within the app, follow the instructions below to gather firmware information for Klipsch Product Support. 

Finding Firmware Version

Begin by opening the Klipsch Control App and connecting to your desired product. Once connected, the app should direct you to the home screen shown below.  NOTE: The images below show the ProMedia Lumina 2.1 system, however, this process is the same for all Klipsch models compatible with the Klipsch Control App.

Begin by tapping the Control icon to open the Settings Menu shown below (circled in red).

On the top tab, select Settings

Scroll all the way down on the Settings page until you see Product Information at the bottom.

On the bottom of the screen, under "Product Information" - you will see "Firmware Version" and a number to the right of this, "1.0.1".  This will provide you with the current firmware version of your product.  You can then provide the number you see in your app to Product Support, or save for your own reference.

In this case, the ProMedia Lumina's firmware version is 1.0.1.  Note that the Firmware Version number shown in your app may differ from this.

Updating Firmware

To check for updates and to update the firmware of your product, click the "Check" button next to "Check for Update", which is located just above Product Information on the Settings tab:
