KMC-1 - Battery Replacement & System Battery Reset
If you are having trouble with your battery charging or the unit powering up. Try doing a battery/system reset and see if it fixes the issue.
Tools Needed
- #2 Phillips Screwdriver
*Please make sure the USB charging cable is disconnected prior to opening the unit*
- Flip the unit over and remove the 2 screws from the battery cover
- Lift front edge of the battery cover to remove it, then set it aside
- Flip the unit over to help remove the battery and pull it out
- Gently pull out the battery cable until the connector emerges (circled in red)
- Disconnect the battery by gently pulling apart the connector
- Keep the battery disconnected for 30 seconds
- Reconnect the battery cable
- Feed and tuck the battery cable back into the unit
- Once the cable is sufficiently tucked back inside the unit, slide the battery back into the compartment
- Insert the tabs on the battery cover at an angle, then replace the 2 screws
DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN
