RP-600M vs. R-50M (new)
Answered
Hello,
I'm prepared to finally upgrade and more closely match my system. I have a R-100sw and R-52c already (using my old Bose 201 IV for L&R)
I currently can get the above mentioned speakers for the exact same price. Since the R-50m is so new, I have no reviews to help me estimate the differences. I fully understand any speaker's performance depends on variables such as the room, so I'm asking for general characteristic differences between these 2 to help me decide. Any help is appreciated. Mostly used for movies (ceiling speakers for surround), but will also be playing digital and vinyl (U-turn Orbit) music via Yamaha rx-v685 occasionally.
Thanks in advance

Thank you for your post! The RP-600M is part of our Reference Premier line, and will be significantly better quality than the R-50M speakers (Reference Line). Not only will the RP-600M be larger than the R-50M, the components used will be higher quality and will still outperform the R-50M in just about every way.

Sorry, forgot to add that I'm wondering, since I'm not a true "audiophile", if I'll even notice a difference if I get the outgoing R-51M since it's currently discounted and will probably more closely match my current kit. I'm confident it'll still be a big improvement over my old 201's! Thank you
