Stray rubber piece that came with packaging

When unpacking the soundbar with the subwoofer a small rubber piece with double-sided tape was included but there's no explanation as to what this is for. Does anybody know?

  Hello Jill,

  This adhesive rubber piece is a pad for the bottom of your soundbar. If you have a wooden TV stand and want to make sure your bar is not scratching the surface, place this adhesive strip under the soundbar as a buffer.
