ProMedia Heritage 2.1 - disable auto-standby
With this particular unit attached to a laptop or desktop computer, brief sound alerts (new email, new message, meeting time notifications, etc) do not play due to the unit going into standby when no audio has been output for a period of time.
When this happens the LED goes solid red and any brief sound which is output when gone to standby never plays on the speakers as the unit takes a short time to come out of standby and by then the sound has stopped playing (and sometimes it stays in standby!).
It would be great if we could completely disable this behaviour with the unit only turning off via remote and mains power-off. It would be even better if the unit remembered the last state it was in and returned to it on mains power-on.
I see the R-41/51PM has the option 'Disable Auto-standby' listed in the manual on page 19 and would be great if this unit supported this much needed 'feature' too.
