600 M's close to the wall
AnsweredI have a pair of the 600 M's on a bookshelf and unfortunately they must be right up against the back wall. I understand that its preferable to have them a bit off the wall but that's just not possible. I've also heard that if they must be up against the wall it's a good idea to stuff foam into the rear port.
Questions: Is this a good idea? If yes, what type of foam is recommended?

Klipsch does not usually recommend plugging up the rear port unless you are getting too much bass (sounds very "boomy"). Placing them up against the wall should reduce the low end response slightly, and if you are still getting too much low end from the speakers, plugging the port is an option. However, if you are not experiencing any negative effects, we recommend leaving the ports open.
