Would love to see The Fives "remember" EQ settings per input.  I prefer different settings for Music vs TV, etc.  Given their unique positioning as an excellent music platform AND soundbar replacement, I think it'd be a great addition.  Thanks!

for cinema 700 or all cinema sound bars.

1/ app to allow difference EQ settings for different sound modes and preferably like 5 or 7 EQ than just 3 now

2/ bar to show output modes too instead of just volume which is a very nice features, may be alternating or scrolling more info on the display, eg sound mode/output mode/volume etc

3/ auto room calibration would be a great addition

Would be fantastic to enable a 7 band EQ instead of 3. Also, how about Virtual souround sound options to help with effects. Many TV have there own such as Samsung's symphony but only if you have a Samsung sound bar. Really hoping more can be done in the app being it made a difference already with the 3 band EQ. I would like to be part of a beta trial if possible. FYI, I was an Xfinity X1 cable modem user and switch away to a Netgear an 99% of my disconnects and slowness went away. Comcast has a lot of security in there box causing havoc on the app connectivity.

Features for the Klipsch cinema 1200 that people from this, avs and all other owners would love to see in the future
(in this premium soundbar segment that should be standard)

    1. Individually adjustment for left and right surround back high/atmos channels, not only Front and Back high
    2. Maybe an extra adjust for center, not only dialogue
    3. Auto Room Calibration for klipsch connect (for cinema series - like sonos trueplay)
    4. Tidal connect for best quality (Master) and also atmos content (is not possible over the chromecast built in - only Hifi)
    5. More details for output mode on the bar and in the App
    6. Automatic source change when TV (via arc) is on and you close Spotify connect or cast apps on the phone (you always have to press TV on remote)

    7. Save eq Settings (maybe mode 1,2 and 3) or the chance to save different modes for inputs.... (Like TV, game console, music, Spotify connect)

Valerio Mazzei "KLipsch RP-6000-F or KLipsch RP-5000-F" -- This seems like General Discussion.
Patrick "Request a Product/App Feature" -- This seems like he is encouraging us to post ideas.

There are comments to Patrick's post from Timothy Knight, Robert Friedel, and me.  These three comments are Feature Requests and should have their own headers.  I re-posted mine.

subject: Subwoofer calibration app for Fives (or other powered speakers).

Setting up Fives with subwoofer, I would appreciate some help setting the subwoofer volume.  Googling for help, all I get is 'listen to a favorite bit of music to adjust the subwoofer'.  The problem with this method is that realistic recordings of Miles Davis don't have much subwoofer content, and I have no idea what dubstep should actually sound like.  Sound during advertising boosts everything way up.  In movies, there's that big deep THOOF sound when something is said that reveals a plot twist.  The subwoofer content in audio gets jacked up (or rolled off) too many ways before it gets to me.  I can adjust it for one movie, and then it sounds silly for the next.  I have no reference for setting subwoofer volume.

The people in the Klipsch lab can sort this stuff out, and package it in a calibration app for the Fives.  The app can output a sinewave alternately thru Fives speaker and thru the subwoofer.  While the app is running, user hears BOOP boop BOOP boop, and adjusts subwoofer volume to get a uniform boop boop boop boop.  This matches the subwoofer volume to the speaker volume at that sinewave frequency.  The app could measure 2-3 frequencies.  The guys in the lab know how far down the typical Fives response is at 85Hz 55Hz 40Hz (for example) and include that in the app.  App averages the measurements to calculate a reference subwoofer volume.  Now when the Fives are operating normally, subwoofer goes to this reference volume when the subwoofer volume reset is pressed.

Most of this could be implemented in the phone, but the Fives firmware would need these additional features: 1. subwoofer On with speakers Off  2. subwoofer Off with speakers On (also turn off 85Hz filter?)  3. storage for subwoofer reference volume.  If the item 3 storage does not fit in firmware then the subwoofer's volume knob is used.  Adjusting that knob would then likely become a two-person job because it's a long reach to that knob from a normal listening position on the livingroom couch.

Hoping this gets read by someone at Klipsch that knows Fives innards.

Is it possible to make the Cinema 800, 1200 Soundbars convert DTS, AAC 5.1/7.1 audio tracks into Multichanel PCM 5.1/7.1, so the user doesn't lose on the surround sound and LFE aspect and can keep getting a good experience aside from Dolby Audio codecs. As you may know, there are a lot of Blu-Ray discs out there and also other digital sources which are encoded with the Audio track in AAC 5.1 or 7.1 same goes for DTS 5.1, DTS-HD 5.1/7.1, etc. From the information I have gathered so far, these Soundbars support up to 7.1 PCM/LPCM decoding if I’m correct. However, I still don't know if when an audio track that's NOT in Dolby codec being played, will the Soundbar not make any sound what so ever or it will be converted into Stereo PCM or Multichannel PCM if the audio from the unsupported audio codec is 5.1/7.1ch.

    Hi Klipsch team,
I am a proud owner of Klipsch The Fives, I bought them a year ago. After getting some good tips from AudioAdvice, I also bought a subwoofer to pull the bass out of the fives to the subwoofer to get a clearer midrange, which gave a a great hi-fi sound quality. amazing what these little ones can do. I was very happy when I saw that a new software had also been released where you got EQ settings, and that all the future updates should come through this app instead of struggle with a usb stick. Finally, we could get a user-friendly app. This opportunity has been long awaited among Klipsch fans. So
I updated my Fives last week to get the EQ. Was very happy that the update went smoothly, I did not think this firmware would take away the great sound that was already there before the update. But unfortunately I discovered that the flat setting seems muddy, a bit like a pillow has been laid in front. I have tried to adjust this in the EQ setting, but am struggling to get back the clear and good sound I had before this firmware. Also been told by the support that it is impossible to go back to the old firmware. Also experiences, that EQ does not store, and the subwoofer volume is very high when you turn on the speakers, and that the Bluetooth suddenly turns on even if the input is not selected. According to support, they are working on these problems. I hope that all these problems will be fixed through a new update soon.

Will also add two ideas that could make EQ on The Fives even more user-friendly, such as allowing two mobile devices to control The Fives EQ at the same time.
    And more presets choices.
