Selling a pair of Heritage K-horn K-D-BB corner speakers
I have a pair of Klipschorn K-horn Type K-D-BB Heritage reference speakers (corner design). They were owned and loved by my audiophile uncle who passed away recently at 88 years old. He babied them for many years: same location, never moved, air/humidity controlled, normal listening levels, etc. The serial numbers indicate a 1974 manufacture date according to Klipsch support, making this pair a rare find for serious audiophiles. Please contact me for photos and serial numbers if you're interested, they are located in a private residence in Winter Springs, Florida … bring a truck or trailer if you buy them … lol. Please make an offer for consideration.
The Klipschorn Type K-D-BB is a version of the Klipschorn speaker that was introduced in the mid-1950s. It features a folding wooden horn, a 15-inch bass driver, and a compression driver with a 2-inch diaphragm. The K-D-BB designation stands for "Klipschorn, Deluxe, Birch, Black", which refers to the materials and finish used in its construction.
The Klipschorn Type K-D-BB is highly regarded for its sound quality and is considered by many to be one of the best loudspeakers ever made. It is still in production today, with some modifications and updates to the original design. The Klipschorn AK6 is the latest version.
