A home theater installer put in-ceiling Klipsch speakers in my living room because I won't use floor-standing surround speakers. Also, I couldn't put surround speakers at the sides of the couch due to furniture placement and opted for installing 2 Klipsch Pro180 RPC LCR (has 45-degree angled tweeters) in the ceiling behind the couch and pointed the tweeters to the listening position. I have a 5.1.4 system right now with four Dolby atmos speakers in front of the couch using in the ceiling, downward-firing PRO-180 RPC speakers for that duty.
I want to put in "side" speakers to move up to a 7.1.4 system. Do people recommend front-firing or angled tweeter speakers on the side? Or other? Also, I can only use in-ceiling to the sides of the couch or in-wall placed high up the wall and near the ceiling. Any pro recommendations and which way to go?
FYI - I'm using Cornwall 4's for the left and right and an RP-64 iii for the center. My living room opens to a kitchen behind the couch, so I can easily place ceiling speakers behind the couch. Awesome system overall! Thank you!
