The Sevens II - Phono Connection (Connecting Turntable)
The Sevens II offer a dedicated dual RCA input with a built in phono stage preamp for turntable connection.
1. Connect the RCA cables from the turntable's output to the PHONO input on the back of the Sevens II.
2. Connect the Ground cable from the ground terminal(GND) on the turntable to the ground terminal on the speakers. The ground connection is often necessary to eliminate ground loop noise.
Note: If your turntable has a built in phono preamp - you would either need to turn it off (usually by setting the Phono switch on the turntable to "Phono" position, see your turntables manual to make sure). Or Connect the turntable to the Analog input on the Sevens II instead. Connecting the turntable with an active phono preamp to the phono input will result in distorted sound since the signal will be boosted too much.
