Cinema 600 - Soundbar Not Powering On After Update
If, for whatever reason, the firmware update does not successfully complete, there is a chance it may "brick" the soundbar. This means the soundbar is "stuck" or unresponsive after the update. Follow the steps below to get your soundbar working again.
USB Flash Drive Formatting Instructions
You will need to format the flash drive before your product can read from it. If you already know how to format a flash drive for FAT32, feel free to skip this step.
IMPORTANT: Use a flash drive that doesn’t store any important information. This process will wipe the contents of the drive.
Begin by unplugging the soundbar from the wall.
- Remove the right end-cap, exposing the service USB input.
Insert USB flash-drive with the correct firmware files (attached to this article).
- Be sure to use a USB 2.0 flash drive with ONLY the provided firmware files on it.
- Hold power button while plugging the bar back into the wall outlet.
Continue holding power button until Dolby LED on top display turns on. This may take up to 30 seconds.
All 5 top LEDs should turn on in sequence during the update.
When finished, the bar should restart on TV/ARC input (orange source LED) and 3 Volume LEDs when complete.
NOTE: The un-brick process may require 2-3 attempts.
